The rules for using Crew Ceylon — written to be read, not skimmed past.
Last updated 28 October 2026
By using Crew Ceylon you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. “We” and “us” mean Crew Ceylon.
Crew Ceylon is an online directory. Event vendors — photographers, caterers, DJs, planners and others — publish profiles, and people planning an event can find them and get in touch.
We are not a party to any booking. We don’t sell vendors’ services, hold your money, set vendors’ prices, or guarantee that anyone will turn up or deliver. A booking is an agreement between you and the vendor, made directly.
You don’t need an account to browse vendors, read reviews, or contact a vendor. Vendors need an account to create and manage a listing. You must be at least 18 to hold an account.
A boost is an optional, paid feature for vendors. It raises your listing in search results. Everything else on Crew Ceylon works fully without one.
Boosts are non-refundable. Once a payment goes through, we don’t refund it — whether the credits are used, unused, or part-used.
A boost buys visibility, not enquiries or bookings. It makes more people likely to see your listing. It doesn’t guarantee that anyone will click, contact you or hire you — that depends on your profile, prices, reviews, season and who is searching. Results vary, and we make no promise about the number of views or contacts a boost will produce.
Non-refundable doesn’t mean we keep money for something we didn’t deliver. If you were charged but your credits didn’t arrive, or you were charged twice for one purchase, contact us with the transaction ID from your payment page and we’ll put it right.
Customers pay vendors directly, outside Crew Ceylon. We don’t process those payments, hold deposits, offer escrow or take a cut. That means we can’t refund them, and we can’t step in if a deal goes wrong. Read the Trust & safety page before you pay anyone a deposit.
The only payments we handle are vendors buying boosts. Those go through PayHere, a Sri Lankan payment gateway. We never see or store your card number — see our Privacy Policy.
Don’t:
You keep ownership of what you upload. By publishing it you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on Crew Ceylon — including in search results, on category and event pages, and in previews — for as long as it’s published. When you delete your account we delete your content (see the Privacy Policy for what’s kept and why).
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is”. We don’t verify vendors’ claims, qualifications or reviews, and we’re not responsible for what a vendor or customer does or fails to do.
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost bookings, lost profit or goodwill — and our total liability to you for anything arising from the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can’t lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You can delete your profile at any time from Dashboard → Settings. It removes your listing, media and reviews about you, and closes your account. It can’t be undone. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where we do, boost credits aren’t refunded.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change materially affects you we’ll flag it in your dashboard. Using the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute.
